Use

In this Customizing activity, you can define additional views that you can use on home pages and work center pages.

Views in this repository are available in the list of available assignment blocks in the UI configuration of every work center page and every home page.

You need to maintain the following data:

  • Additional View ID
Specifies the ID of the additional view. The prefix #ADDITIONAL_VIEW# is automatically added to the view ID, when the additional view is displayed under the technical details of the corresponding component and view in the UI Configuration Tool.
  • Component Name
Specifies the name of the UI component
  • Interface View
Specifies the window of the UI component
  • Description
    Describes the additional view

Requirements

Additional views are intended for basic use cases to easily reuse simple views.

At runtime, an additional view is dynamically added to the configuration of your home page or work center page. However, navigation is statically defined in the runtime repository at the design time of the relevant page. Therefore, navigation from an additional view requires an enhancement of the UI component of the relevant page. This enables changes to the runtime repository of the page. If you only want to display an additional view (without being able to navigate away from it), you do not need to create an enhancement.
