You define contract fields that should be checked if you change data after approval/release of a contract.

Activities

  1. Create a check schema and give it a name (10 digits).
  2. In the schema, you can define whether changing data affects the contract status and follow-on documents. At header level, you can define:
    • Whether the contract should be reapproved if the vendor billing document or text is changed.
    • Whether every changed contract needs to be rereleased.
      • At the field item level, you can define:
    • Which fields should be checked. You can use the fields in Structure KOMWBHD, KOMWBHE, KOMWBHI, KOMWBHK. For each field, you can define whether reapproval or rerelease is necessary.
  3. Assigned this schema to the trading contract type.

Example

Incoterms data may be important for the follow-on sales logistics process. You want to update this data in follow-on sales documents every time you change data in the trading contract. In this case, you flag the fields for rereleasing and recreating follow-on documents after changing this data in the trading contract.

Changing the item volume sometimes needs to be approved by the director. In this case, that contract requires reapproval before it can be processed.
