You specify here the transmission medium (email, for example) you want to use to inform the customers of changes to existing trading contracts or of new quotations. To do this, you set up a communication strategy, defining addresses and communication methods in central address management.
Example
You want to communicate with all your customers using email whenever possible. If customers do not have email accounts, they should receive the information by fax. To do this:
Define a new communication strategy (4-characters) called ZZ01, for example. Enter communication type INT in position 1 and communication method FAX in position 2. Save this new communication strategy ZZ01 in the condition record.
Make sure that you have entered email addresses for all customers with Internet accounts (communication type INT) in central address management. For customers without Internet accounts, make sure that fax numbers are entered (communication method FAX).
