Use

In this IMG activity, you define the logical association unit to be used for updating the association table when document items with existing associations are deleted. This parameter is used when:

  • both the document item to be deleted and its preceding document have the same logical association unit and
  • no association exists between the preceding document item and the association partner of the document that is being deleted.

If these conditions are met, deleting a document item with an existing association will cause a new association to be made between the deleted item's association partner and the preceding item.

This rule can be illustrated as follows:

Preceding item < Document item < Association partner

If a logical association unit has been specified in this IMG activity, deleting the document item with this configuration will result in the following reassociation:

Preceding item < Association partner

If no association unit were used in this case, the existing association record would simply be deleted along with the document item itself.

Note

The logical association unit is applied only when deleting purchase items.

  2. Create a logical association unit (4-digit key) and assign a description to it.
