Use
Flows are only recognized as relevant for profit/loss if the profit/loss type has been flagged as relevant for profit/loss in the IMG activity, Assignment of Profit/Loss Types to Update Type and Valuation Area, field Profit/Loss Indicator. If this is the case, the flows are selected and given the assigned profit/loss type. Due to the fact that the assignment table is initial when it is delivered, you can use this report to carry out the following:
To fill it with the update types that are available in your system
To generate a proposal for the profit/loss indicator
The program generates the proposal for the profit/loss indicator on the basis of the account symbols defined in the system.
If an account symbol is assigned to an update type in account determination with the posting category profit/loss posting in position currency or profit/loss posting in payment currency, the report considers this update type as relevant for profit/loss.
