Use
We deliver Decision Flow Management (DFM) with a certain number of object link types, which represent business objects or their parts and which can be linked to each other in a certain context.
If the delivered object link types are not sufficient, you can also create your own object link types to support more customer-specific functionality.
In this IMG activity, you define the object link types and their settings that support decision flow management (DFM). The settings are required to:
- create object links to another SAP system accessible via RFC call
- create or update linked objects (in respect to their attributes, authorizations, status)
We recommend that you copy the delivered object link types to custom ones. Make sure that only one combination of logical system and object grouping is assigned to each object link type. All object links have to belong to the same logical system.
If you want to create a new object link type, make sure that the requirements are met.
You create the object link types under category 0INM_DFM Innovation Management.
Requirements
To be able to use a new object link type in a synchronization context in DFM:
- You have implemented an implementation class with the interfaces IF_INM_OF, IF_INM_OF_MAIN and IF_INM_OF_RELATION
- You have defined an object group to which the object link type should be assigned
Note that one object link type is always assigned to a unique combination of logical system and object group. All object link types have to belong to the same logical system. Other settings are not supported.
Check that structures exist to be entered in the Key and Identification fields.
Standard settings
We deliver a Customizing in the standard delivery. This supports objects of type Project Management Project and Project Management Phase, Item and Item: Decision Point, as well as initiative related objects.
Therefore, decision flow management is ready for use in the standard delivery.
Activities

Object Type Z_MY_OBJ_LINK
Description Own Object Link Type
Category 0INM_DFM Innovation Management
Active Checked
Key Custom structure for single key
Identification Custom structure for combined key fields
Group Z_MY_OBJ_GROUP
Logical System XYZCLNT105
Destination NONE
