If the transaction currency does not match the account currency, conversion takes place with the help of the currency swap function.
Exchange rate type M is used as standard for the exchange rate determination. Alternatively, in this IMG activity you can store different exchange rate types specifically for each bank area and separately for credits and debits.
Requirements
Define the exchange rate types by choosing R/3 Customizing Implementation Guide -> General settings -> Currencies -> Check exchange rate types.
Activities
- If you wish to change the exchange rate type for a bank area that is already entered and the type of +/- sign (credit / debit), choose the new exchange rate type in the exchange rate type column.
- If you wish to specify a different exchange rate type for other bank areas from the standard exchange rate type M used (standard conversion at the middle rate), choose New entries and enter the required exchange rate type for the combination of bank area and credit / debit.
- Save the changes.
