Use

In this IMG activity, you can define the Hardship Compensation payable to an employee, depending on the Hardship Classification of the Duty Station. Hardship Compensation is calculated as a percentage of the Base salary.

Requirements

Standard settings

In the standard system, Hardship Compensation is calculated as follows:

Hardship Classification    Percentage of Base salary

H     0

A    0

B     8

C    15

D    20

E    25

Activities

To define Hardship Compensation:

  1. Select New Entries.
  2. Select the Hardship Classification in the HS Class field.
  3. Enter the Hardship Classification text.
  4. Enter the validity period.   
  5. Enter the percentage of Base salary to be used to calculate Hardship Compensation for the particular classification, in the Hard. % field.
  6. Select the wage type that stores the Hardship Compensation.
  7. Save your entries.
