Use

In this IMG activity, you define the parameters for Personnel Action Approval Process (PAAP).

You can define the following parameters:

  • COPY_SWITCH:

    This parameter can have the following values:

    • S - If the parameter is set to this value, the changes you make to an employee's master data are in simulation mode and are not copied from the temporary Personnel Number to the original Personnel Number.
    • C - If the parameter is set to this value, the changes you make to an employee's master data are copied from the temporary Personnel Number to the original Personnel Number.
  • HISTORY_LOOK_BACK

    This parameter determines the number of days, prior to the current date, for which the processed data is displayed on the HR department's officer's console.

    Example

    You have maintained the value of this parameter as 15 days. In this case, on May 1, 2006, the data processed in the period from April 16 to April 30, 2006 will be displyed on the officer's console.

    Note

    The user parameter PAAP_HBACK_UN can be set at the individual user level for a different number of days.

    In this case, the value of PAAP_HBACK_UN overrides the value of HISTORY_LOOK_BACK.

  • IMPL_STAFF_SEL

    This parameter contains the algorithm for the selection of staff to be displayed for an officer in his own console. It may be replaced with a customer-specific algorithm if desired.

  • IMPL_STORAGE

    This parameter indicates the interface in PAAP, which is used to capture the applied changes in the console.

  • NOTIFICATION_ENABLE

    The value of this parameter determines whether the administrator who created or made changes to an emloyee's master data will be notified.

    This parameter can have the following values:

    X - System sends an on-line notification to the concerned administrator when the HR department either approves or deletes the employee master data created or maintained by him or her.

    Blank - System does not notify the concerned administrator.

  • STAFF_OU_RELATION

    This parameter indicates the evaluation path used to identify what persons are incorporated into the organizational unit. (standard value is O-S-P)

  • STAFF_SEL_METHOD
  • STAFF_S_RELATION

    This parameter indicates the relationship used to identify what organizational units or positions are administered, for purposes of PAAP, by a (officer) position. (The standard value is B290).

  • STAFF_US_RELATION

    This parameter indicates the relationship used to identify what position a user holds. (The standard value is B008).
