Use

In this IMG activity, you create Family Characteristics.

A family characteristic can have various specifications that you can provide with an internal key. This is relevant to payroll accounting, as the system processes different specifications differently.

Requirements

Standard settings

In the standard system, the following characteristics are defined:

  • 1 - Type of family member
  • 2 - Disabled / Not Disabled
  • 3 - Living with employee / Not living with employee
  • 4 - Dependent / Not dependent
  • 5 - Type of Allowance

Activities

  1. Select New Entries.
  2. Enter Family Characteristic in Character. field.
  3. Enter the proficiency for the Family Characteristic in the Proficiency field.
  4. Enter the description of the Family Characteristic in the Description field.
  5. Enter an Internal Key for Family Characteristic attribute in the Internal key field.   
  6. Save you entries.

Caution

Do not change the default settings. If you want to make modifications to one of the family characteristic in the standard system, copy it and then change it. Note that changes to the family characteristic can affect payroll accounting.
