Use

In this IMG activity you define number ranges for supplier account groups per target system.

This allows you to override the standard settings for the distribution, so that you can distribute supplier master data via ALE into the target systems, with the numbers of the suppliers in the target system being different from the corresponding numbers in the hub system.

Depending on your entries you can override the supplier numbers in the target system, the account group in the target system or both:

  • To override the supplier numbers you have to enter a number range object and a number range.
  • To override the account group you have to enter an account group.
  • To override the supplier numbers and the account group you have to make entries in all fields.

Requirements

Standard settings

In the standard system no entries are delivered.

Caution

Wrong or inconsistent entries in this IMG activity may result in corrupt key mapping, which has to be corrected manually.

Activities

  1. Select the following entries using the input help.
    • Target system
      • The target systems that are available by the input help are defined in the IMG activity Define Technical Settings for Business System.
    • Supplier account group
    • Number range object
      • You can either create an own number range object using the number range object maintenance or assign a new number range to an existing number range object.
    • Number range
      • The target system's number range has to include the hub system's number range.
  2. Enter a supplier account group that is valid in the target system.
