The second level in the hierarchy of key figure categories contains key figures of the category Position in Position Currency (PAPOS). These key figures have key figures of the category PAABB001 as their basic key figures
Special characteristics of key figures of the category PAPOS:
Key figures of the category Position in Position Currency are not linked to a particular currency. This means that a key figure of this category represents a position valued in the position currency. The position currency itself is stored in the financial object. You cannot use the key figure category PAPOS to override the currency stored in financial object. Only the financial objects with one particular position currency are therefore used to calculate the position.
In turn, the key figures of the category PAPOS are used as basic key figures for the key figures derived from them. As per the key figure category hierarchy, these derived key figures are of the categories PAFLW (flow key figure category in transaction currency), PA_FLWCC (flow key figure category in evaluation currency) and PAPOSCC (position key figure category in evaluation currency).

Requirements
You can maintain position key figures of the key figure category PAPOS only if a key figure of the key figure category PAABB001 already exists, and is used a basic key figure.

- Choose Display/Change to switch to the change mode. Then choose New Entries.
- Enter an 8-character ID for the key figure, and a description.
- Using the input help, choose the required basic key figure.
- Save your settings.
