Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Master Data Governance (MDG_FND) component. You can use this BAdI to enable a customer to apply rules for changing field property values. Possible new values are read-only, required entry, and optional.
Requirements
The BAdI only applies to fields that are not read-only. You can set fields to read-only in the following Customizing activities only:
- Edit Statuses of Change Requests
When the setting for a change request under Permitted Processing is set to No Processing, then all change requests area read-only.
- Configure Properties of Change Request Step
In the field property settings of the following views, you indirectly define whether a field is read-only for a given change request set.
- View Entity Types per Change Request Step
- View Attributes per Change Request Step
