Use
In this activity you define the system behavior in the integration of Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM).
If a personnel action includes the infotype 0001, Organizational assignment, two different validations could be set to stop the PA action
- Automated Delimiting of Object Position
Delimit the position automatically when it is set to obsolete in OM (IT 1014) if certain actions (examples: transfer a person from the position, separate a person) take place in PA. The system (switch PPVAC VACWF) displays a popup (Yes / No / Cancel) when these actions take place in PA. The popup should not be presented to the Personnel Administrator; instead, the system should delimit the position in the background without giving a choice between changing the date or removing the delimitation.
- Prevention of Hiring in PA
The hiring action should be stopped in PA under the following circumstances:
- When a position is obsolete
The standard in SAP only stops the hiring action after the start date of the record in Infotype 1014 (Obsolete). Before that date, the system still allows a hiring action to take place in the Position. UNICEF requires that, as soon as the position has a record which is obsolete, no hiring is allowed. There is a message needed that tells the Personnel Administrator that there is a problem with the Position - for example, "Position marked obsolete". Then the budget department can be contacted to check the obsolete date. - In the Infotype1007 (Vacancy), two statuses, open and filled, are possible.
If the position is not explicitly marked as open at a certain date, no initial appointment (hiring) action for the position should be possible in PA before that date. - You must set up the personnel actions that will be included in one or both of these validations. Define the following information:
- Action type
The action should be defined in table T529T. - Delimit
Enter X here if you want the action to delimit the position if this has an obsolete infotype. - Prev. Hire
Enter X here if you want the action to validate whether the personnel action should be stopped.
