In this step, you define which address is printed on an employee's payment summary / group certificate. Also in this step, define the variable used in retrieving the employees middle name for printing on the payment summary.
The Payment Summaries / Group Certificates program retrieves an employee's address from the Addresses infotype (0006). In this infotype, you can define several different subtypes each with a different address (for example, home address, mailing address, temporary/permanent residence).
This step enables you to determine which subtype is used to print an employee's address on a payment summary / group certificate.
The Payment Summaries / Group Certificates program also retrieves the employee middle name from Personnal Data infotype (0002).
Requirements
You must have maintained your employee's address details in the Addresses infotype.
Standard settings
In the standard system, the Determine employee's address feature (13ADD) is preset to use subtype 1. You must only modify this feature if you are using a subtype other than 1 for the address printed on an employee's payment summary / group certificate.
Also in the standard system, to retrieve the employee middle name from Personnal Data infotype, there are two variables available, they are 'MIDNM' and 'NAME2'.
Recommendation
Activities
Enter the relevant subtype from the Addresses infotype against the appropriate company code, personnel area/subarea, and so on, in the Determine employee's address feature.
Using the Determine employee's address feature (13ADD) include 'MIDNM' or 'NAME2' in positions 5 to 9.
