Use
In this step of the Implementation Guide the (optional) conditions to create a single rule for the reading of master data are determined.
Requirements
Standard settings
The "Sequence number" field specifies the sequence according to which conditions are checked.
The operator field specifies the operator for the comparison: the field specified in the IT field name is compared with the value specified in the value field using this operator.
N.B.: the "LIKE" and "NOT LIKE" operators should not be used for the info-types.
Activities
Example
1. To add a condition (NACHN = Surname) to RULE1 valid from 01.01.2002 follow these steps:
- In the Determine attributes rules view restrict the series of attributes customized on 31.12.2001. Create a copy of this series of attributes with validity-from date = 01.01.2002 and validity-to date = 31.12.9999;
- In this new series of attributes assign a name to the link for conditions ('+'), for example 'R1_01' (the name can be assigned
without restrictions);
- In the Determine rules attributes conditions view (this view) add the condition: (+) = R1_01, number = 1, validity-from date = 01.01.2002, validity-to date = 31.12.9999, field name = NACHN, operator = equal (=), value = Surname.
2. BSGRD = 100 as a further condition for a rule to read the 0008 info-type would select only records for full time employees.
Further notes
All tables are time-dependent: all attributes and conditions can be limited as regards time.
