Use

In this step of the Implementation Guide the attributes of the single rules managed in the previous step are determined.

Each rule has attributes containing the following information:

  • which field in which table or info-type (according to the Pnnnn form) should be read;
  • when information should be read.

Each attribute can have conditions determined in the following step.

Please state:

  • Conditions (optional): link to the linked conditions;
  • table of origin: name of the table or info-type to be read;
  • return value: field with value;
  • absolute or relative value;
  • year;
  • delta;
  • reference unit;
  • key date.

Example

In order to create a rule named RULE1 that uses the default reading class and reads the VORNA field of the 0002 info-type the first day of the processing month, without further conditions and in such a way that all attributes and conditions are valid from 01.01.2000 to 31.12.9999, follow these steps:

  • In the Determine operation rules view create the rule named RULE1, valid-from date = 01.01.2000, valid-to date = 31.12.9999. The name of the object to be entered is CL_HRPB15_TABLE_READER. This operation allows to create the rule and name the reading class.
  • In the Determine attributes rules view (this view) create a series of attributes for the key date: key date = first, delta = 0, reference unit = months, year = 0. Set the rule on 'RULE1' and leave the link conditions (+) field empty: as there are not other conditions, the Determine attributes rules conditions view should not be customized for this rule. Set the valid-from date = 01.01.2000 and the valid-to date = 31.12.9999.

Further notes

All tables are time-dependent: all attributes and conditions can be limited as regards time.
