In this step you define the rounding indicators and the corresponding number and type, which will be used to calculate the net pay rounding.

By defining this rounding indicator it is necessary to specify:

  • Rounding type. The amount values are:
    • A (amount rounding);
    • T (amount truncation);
    • S (amount truncation at a higher value).
  • Number of figures. It represents the number of figures on which you want to apply the rounding criterion (or the truncation criterion).

original value £1,123.45 - final result with A £ 1,123.000
with T £ 1,123.000

original value £1,123.56 - final result with A £ 1,124.000
with T £ 1,123.000

Activities

By defining this indicator it is necessary to specify, among other things:

  1. rounding type, indicating with which rule the rounding should be carried out. The possible values are:

  • A - amount rounding;
  • T - amount truncation at a lower figure;
  • S - amount truncation at a higher figure.

  1. Number of figures representing the number of figures to which you want to carry out the rounding (truncation).
