Use
In this Customizing activity, you edit the scenarios that build the technical basis for the form-based creation of change requests. The scenario determines which form is used and which fields are displayed in the form. You use different versions to control the validity of a scenario.
Requirements
You have implemented SAP Adobe Interactive Forms.
Standard settings
Activities
- If you want to create a customer-specific scenario, enter a technical name and choose the SAP Master Data Governance application.
- Choose Version and Form and create a new scenario version. Enter a unique value as the version number.
- If you want to restrict the validity, specify a validity period for the scenario version. If you do not enter a validity period, this form is always valid.
Note: New requests can only be entered within the specified validity period. However, once the validity period has expired, you can continue to process the requests that were created with the expired version. The validity periods of different versions must not overlap.
- Specify a form layout for the new version. You can either choose an existing form or create a new one as follows:
In the form layout field, enter a name for the form or leave the field blank. If you leave it blank, the form name is generated automatically in the following format: APB_ISR_FORM_XXXX (XXXX = technical name of scenario). Choose Generate to generate the new form.
The interface for forms processing is generated automatically when you create the form.
- If you want to change the layout of the form, choose Change. The Form Builder opens. If you define new fields in the layout, you can automatically transfer them to the scenario as characteristics when you leave the Form Builder. This also automatically saves the data binding of the new field in the layout. For more information, choose Help -> Application Help in the Form Builder.
- Choose Characteristics.
- To automatically copy all attributes of an entity type of a data model as characteristics (fields in form), choose Adjust Form Fields. A dialog box appears in which you enter the data model and entity type, as well as further details.
- If you want to add characteristics yourself, note the following restrictions:
- The names of characteristics and structure fields must be unique within a scenario.
- The names of characteristics and structure fields must not begin with ISR_.
- The maximum length of a characteristic or structure field name is 30 characters.
- The maximum length of a data type (Reference field) is 250 characters. This refers to the data element assigned to the characteristic or structure field.
If you want to show fields as a selection list in the form, you must enter unique entries for Keys for Input Help and Labels for Input Help. For input fields that are to have OVS input help, you cannot make entries. For the sake of system performance, do not make entries for fields that have no input help in the form.
If you want to use a characteristic as a multiline long text field, select the Long Text checkbox. For example, you may need this option for comment fields in the form.
