This transaction is needed to enable the determination of the required minimum distribution for an accountholder. The required minimum distribution for each year can be found by dividing the IRA account balance as of the close of business on December 31 of the preceding year, by the applicable distribution period. (source: IRS publication 590). The life expectancy of an accountholder is age dependent. Using this table the life expectancy vs age can be maintained.

This transaction is intended to maintain the distribution period for accountholders age 70 and above. To obtain the required minimum distribution for beneficiaries, please use table TRTP_US_SLIFE
