Description
When sending out tickets, the level of detail in the ticket information is different for each carrier. For example, some carriers send tickets with an extended nomination number compared to the standard TSW nomination number. This serves as a kind of versioning.
The ticket number rule is used by the TSW system to correctly identify tickets received from each carrier. Each rule corresponds to a User Exit routine that is used during ticket processing to interpret the format of the ticket number.
For example, the rule can be used to split an incoming ticket number into a ticket and version number.
