First a screen sequence category needs to be selected. At this moment "Divisibility" has not yet been enabled for the application. Therefore, selecting the screen sequence category "Standard (no divisibility)" is the appropriate choice. In the future, however, SAP is planning to enable divisibility for this application. This will result that the screen sequence will depend on the retirement plan type.

Select the screen sequence category "Standard (no divisibility)". This activates the screen configurator and a new window appears in which the screen can be configured.

  1. Switching processing modes:
There is a screen layout mode and a screen sequence mode. When the screen configurator is activated, the system default is screen layout mode, in which you decide on the layout of the screens.
Choose Goto -> Screen sequence or Screen layout to switch from one mode to another.
  2. Choosing view type in screen layout mode:
    • In screen layout mode, select individual screens of the screen sequence from the lower half of the screen.
    • Select Settings -> Layout view, Normal view or Grouping view.
    • The most important entry and output fields appear in the Normal view. They are grouped together in views (indicated by black frames), which in turn are grouped together in sections (indicated by white frames). Whereas the view frame is visible only when the screen is being configured, the section frame and its title also appear in the application.
    • The view frames are not visible in Layout view.
    • In the Grouping view, only view frames (and relevant name of view) and section frames are displayed, not the entry and output fields.
  3. Using the help function during Drag & Drop:
If you want to change the screen layout, you can use a drag & drop function which allows you to move sections and views to individual screens and between different screens. The view (or section) affected by the drag has a dark background.
The configuration of sections and views is restricted by set technical constraints. The insertion position of the view (or section) is marked by a red line. If you want to obtain an overview of the permitted areas, you can place the cursor on the yellow question mark of the help button in the menu bar during the drag activity. A description of the areas where an insertion is permitted appears.
  4. Changing section names:
You can change the names of sections by selecting the current name. An additional window appears in which you can enter the new name. Choose Continue.
  5. Using Cut & Paste function:
    • Select Cut to cut views or sections from a screen and transfer to a buffer.
    • Select Copy to copy views or sections into the buffer.
    • Select Drag to remove the view or section from the buffer and insert in the screen layout. Note that each view should only appear once on each screen.
  6. Using insertion function:
    • Select Edit -> Insert. With the help of the window you can insert new sections and views. To insert additional sections, drag & drop the section symbol from the insert window into a screen.
    • By selecting the Unused SAP views, you can get a list of the views that have not been used but which can be included in the configuration. These can be taken from the list and inserted into a screen by using drag & drop.
  7. Reinstating the standard SAP configuration:
    • Select Edit -> SAP Standard to load the original screen configuration delivered with the standard SAP system. The current screen configuration is lost. You can edit the standard configuration or leave it unchanged.
  8. Editing screen sequence mode:
The order of individual screens during processing is shown in screen sequence mode. You can change the position of screens using drag & drop.
    • Select Edit -> Insert. The insert window appears. Drag & drop the screen symbol to add an additional screen to the screen sequence.
    • Select Delete to delete screens that are no longer used. The views on the deleted screen that disappear completely from the screen configuration as a result of this deletion operation appear in the list of unused SAP views. You can insert these views again into a screen configuration by selecting them from this list.
  9. Changing screen names:
    • You can change the names of screens by selecting the current name. An additional window appears in which you can enter the new name. Select Continue.
  10. Canceling and transferring:
    • If you select Edit -> Cancel, you exit the screen configuration and the current screen configuration is not saved.
    • If you select Screen configuration -> Copy, you also exit the screen configuration but the current screen configuration is saved. You thereby exit the screen configurator and return to the screen selection category.

Requirements

Standard settings
