Description
In this step you define the completion strategy for the fuels meter readings update.
In addition to company code, the determination requires location type, meter event type, and upload process.
Example
Co.code Loc.type Met.event Upld. proc. Compl. strategy
GOIL STCC S FM01 001
GOIL STCC F FM01 001
GOIL STCD S FM01 002
GOIL STCD F FM01 001
For a company owned, company operated location type (STCC) it may not be necessary to perform service station invoicing (INV1)but it may be necessary to create material movements (MM1) for replenishment purposes. However, for a company owned, dealer operated location type (STCD), both service station partner invoicing and material movements are required.
Completion strategy subsequent processes:
001 Material movement creation (MM1)
002 Service station partner invoicing (INV1)
002 Material movement creation (MM1)
A company owned, dealer operated location should not be linked to completion strategy 001 as service station partner invoicing must be carried out for this location. However, you could link a company owned, company operated location to completion strategy 001.
For a sales flow meter event (type S) it may be necessary to carry out service station partner invoicing (INV1) and material movement creation (MM1). However, for a flushing meter event (type F) only material movements should be created to correct the inventory of the station. In this scenario the company owned dealer operated station should be linked to completion strategy 002 for sales meter events and to completion strategy 001 for flushing events. Since service station partner invoicing is not performed at company owned, company operated stations, the meter event type is irrelevant in this case. and the completion strategy is 001.
The inclusion of the upload process in the determination key provides an extra level of flexibility for situations where the same meter reading data will be used in unrelated processes. This level of customizing may not always be necessary.
Requirements
Before starting this step, in Customizing for mySAP Oil&Gas you must maintain the:
- Location type by choosing SSR -> Business Location Master Data -> Business Location Type -> Define business location type with screen configuration
- Upload process by choosing SSR -> Process Control -> Process definition
The process must exist at the level of process definition. It is not necessary to define any process dependencies for the purpose of document base table customizing. This level of customizing should only be maintained if the full process control functionality is required.
