As the business location status influences which processes may be carried out for a business location, it is necessary to carry out a check if you:

  • Delete a status entry
  • Add a status entry with a start date in the past

In both cases, it is necessary to check whether any processes were carried out during the period in which the "old" status was valid but is no longer valid.

SAP delivers routines for checking whether:

  • One or more processes were executed while the status to be deleted was valid
  • A process was executed which is not allowed for the new status

If the check finds at least one process, the system issues an error message. The message type can be changed with different business add-in implementations.

You can implement alternative checks by using the business add-in (BADI) OIRB_STATUS with its method STATUS_CHECK.
