In this step you can:

  1. Assign customer-defined screens to customer-specific data sections. You can use the screen configuration tool(SCT) to include these data sections in the business location master record. You must assign a business type relevance to each data section.
  2. Assign fields to each customer-specific data section to include them in the business location master record. You can:
    • Apply default settings and restrictions to each field
    • Define the business type relevance of each field

Business type relevance defines the availability for display and/or maintenance of screens, data sections and fields within the business location master record. As screen, data section and fields form a hierarchy, a screen's business type relevance should be at least as restrictive as that of its data sections, and a data section's business type relevance should be at least as restrictive as that of its fields.

If the business type relevance of the screen or data section is more restrictive than that for the data sections or fields defined within, the business type relevance of the screen or data section is applied. For example, if a data section has business type relevance 1 but a field within the data section has business type relevance 4, then during business location master data maintenance, you can maintain the field at the general level but not display it at business type level, as the data section itself is not accessed at the business type level (relevance 1).
