Supply types may be used as an additional parameter in the derivation of supply processes. It is available for both plant level and store level determination rules.
A value for supply type is obtained from the supply chain BADI exit OIO_SUPPLY_CHAIN during supply process derivation. The relevant interface method is DETERMINE _SUPPLY_TYPE. If no BADI exit is defined, a blank value is used for the determination of the supply process.
An example supply type routine is provided in the sample BADI implementation OIO_SC_001. This routine will return a value for supply type for store level determination only. It sets a value 'NS' (non-stock) if the material master plant segment has no safety stock. Otherwise, it sets a value 'ST' (stock).
