The material tracking module uses generalized statuses to allow reporting of the status of an entire hierarchy or sub-hierarchy of Remote Logistics Management (RLM) objects.
A material tracking group defines the mapping of statuses from a subset of RLM objects to tracking statuses. A tracking report may include one or more tracking groups so that different types of tracking statuses may be displayed in parallel, for example procurement and dispatch.
In this activity, you create as many tracking groups as are required for your installation. For each tracking group, you assign the actual status of one or more RLM objects to a material tracking status that was defined in the previous configuration option.
