The object flow profile defines simple parent-child relationships between Remote Logistics Management (RLM) objects. The tracking program uses these relationships in a recursion to build an object flow for the purposes of tracking material requests.

Each parent-child relationship is implemented using a function module that includes code to identify the child objects belonging to a particular parent object. RLM includes function modules for all the main parent-child relationships, but the customer is free to add more if required.
