The flexible container master data record within Remote Logistics Management (RLM) allows containers to adopt one or more sources of container master data including a dedicated RLM container master and PM equipment masters.

A separate container type is defined for each source of master data. Four container types are supplied with RLM, and these may be changed or added to as required. The standard container types are:

  • 01    RLM containers
  • 02    PM equipment
  • 03    Internet (for e-commerce)
  • 04    One-off (single-use container)

For each container type, the following functions have to be defined:

  • READ
  • SELECT
  • DISPLAY
  • VALUE-REQUEST
  • LOCK
  • UNLOCK

Functions are provided for all standard container types except Internet containers. For Internet containers and any user-defined container types, you as the customer will have to write the functions if you want those types of containers. Functions of that type should use the same interfaces as the standard functions, but otherwise, you are free to add whatever coding is required.
