Here you can implement a Business Add-In (BAdI) to define additional calculation and modification routines for stages of routes and to default line items from nominations for pipeline batches. The system automatically implements the routines during nomination maintenance.

The BAdI provides the following methods:

PIPE_BATCH_MODIFY: the system always calls this method when you make changes to line items, routes, or stages within the scheduled nomination for pipeline batches. Using this method, the system calculates and modifies information relevant to the pipeline batch, such as the locations along the pipeline (assigned to transport system), the time period, and when the start and end of the batch passes the assigned locations. The system also calls this method when checking pipeline batch data during nomination validation.

PIPE_BATCH_RECALCULATE: the system calls this method when you start the recalculate function for routes and stages. The system recalculates the planned total time for the complete route and assigned stages and then updates default nomination items for pipeline batches. However, the system does not change nomination information, such as the start and end dates for the batch or the time at the pipeline location. You can implement this BAdI to change the calculation method that the system uses to update the planned total time for the route, as well as, to change the information in the nomination header and line items, such as the scheduled date and time for the beginning and end of a batch at the assigned locations.
