Here you can assign the number range within which the berth IDs are numbered.

A number range can be defined as internal, where the system automatically assigns a number sequentially upon the creation of a berth, or as external, where a user must manually enter a number within the range defined. An external number is indicated by the field Ext.

Transport

The number range intervals are not included in automatic recording of Customizing changes. You must manually trigger transports of all changes made within number range interval maintenance.

To do this, in the initial screen for number range interval maintenance choose the function Interval -> Transport.

Please note the information the system displays, when transporting number range intervals.

Activities

To define a number range, you must create a new group:

Enter a group to which you can assign an internal and/or an external number interval.

Specify the limits of the number range. The individual number intervals must not overlap. Thus, every number can only occur once.

Further notes

The "current number" field contains the number assigned to the last berth ID created within the internal number range.
