You must define how the existing excise tax groups defined in the component Tariffs, Duties and Permits (TDP) are mapped to product tax groups used in the context of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Excise tax and excise duty are used synonymously in this text.

This mapping is defined for the combination of:

  • Country (mandatory)

    and

  • Region (optional)

Example

Requirements

All excise tax relevant countries you use must be defined in Customizing, by choosing General Settings -> Set countries -> Define countries.

All excise tax relevant regions you are use must be defined in Customizing, by choosing General Settings -> Set countries -> Insert regions.

All excise tax groups, which are used for mapping to product tax groups must be defined in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream), by choosing TDP (Tariffs, Duties and Permits) -> Global Settings -> Parameter Definitions -> Set excise duty group

You must define all combinations of country, region, tax type, and product tax group, which are used for mapping the excise tax groups, in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream). To do this, choose Integration with Customer Relationship Management -> Excise Tax -> Define Tax Types and Product Tax Groups.

Standard settings

There is no standard setup.

Recommendation

Perform this activity only if you want to use excise tax handling in a scenario integrating SAP CRM (4.0 or higher) with SAP Oil & Gas.

Activities

  1. In the Customizing, choose Integration with Customer Relationship Management -> Excise Tax -> Map Excise Tax Groups to Product Tax Groups .
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Enter the combination of country, region, and excise tax group that you want to map to a valid product tax group. Region is optional (field can be empty) but all other fields must have a value according to the input help.
  4. Choose Save.
