In this activity, you set up the standard academic year/session combinations used at your university.

To do this, you combine an academic year and an academic session with the validity period that defines the exact duration of this academic year/session combination. You must create a new entry for each required combination.

In this release, these standard academic/year session combinations are used only to check entries in the academic calendar. In the next release, you will be able to assign these academic year/session combinations to the programs offered at your university.

Note: There must be no gaps between validity periods.

Activities

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. In the fields AcademicYr and Session, choose the academic year and session you want to combine.
  3. For this combination of academic year and session, define a validity period by entering a date in the Start date and End date fields.

    The start and end dates define the period during which this entry is valid. There must be no gaps between validity periods.

  4. Create all the required combinations as described in steps 2 and 3.
  5. When you have made all the required entries, choose Save.
