In this step you will obtain information on the special dependent features of the form that need to be taken into account when setting up the initial and final group texts in a window.

For further information, refer to the section "Set up initial and final group texts in a window", or to the form editor documentation in the SAP Library.

The initial and final group texts are texts (such as on "Statutory deductions") and/or graphical elements (such as lines) which are printed at the beginning and/or at the end of an information group. Each initial or final group text can consist of one or several lines.

If you want to set up an initial or final group text you must complete the following fields:

  • Text position indicator

There are two possible entries for this field:

  • "B"
  • Specify the value "B" to denote an initial group text.
  • "E"
  • Specify the value "E" to denote a final group text.

  • Continuation indicator

The continuation indicator is used to number the lines in an initial or final group text. You must enter a "1" for initial and final group texts that consist of one line. If such texts consist of more than one line, the individual lines must be numbered consecutively starting from "1".

PREREQUISITES

For every initial and final group text that is set up, a corresponding layout must be defined in the IMG activity "Line layout in window". If the layout is missing for an initial or final group text, blank lines are printed instead.

EXAMPLE

An overview of the abbreviations used in the example can be found under the heading "Abbreviations used" at the end of this step.

You want to set up the following initial group text in the window:

"Statutory deductions"---------------------------------

To do this, proceed as follows:

  • in the form editor, choose window, group, subgroup and then the form editor group text;
  • enter the following in the respective fields of the dialog box "Change group texts: group...":

IP    IC    ....+...1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5

B    1    Statutory deductions ---------------------------

Using the window name and group number, you can assign the initial group text to the window and group required. Indicator "B" determines that this is an initial group text. Continuation indicator "1" indicates whether the initial group text consists of just one line. Enter the initial group text itself in the text area which cannot be displayed in full here.

ABBREVIATIONS USED

The following abbreviations are used in the given example:

PI    Text position indicator

CI    Continuation indicator
