This IMG activity enables you to set up the page length of the form.

You set up the page length of the form by determining the number of lines per payroll journal page.

EXAMPLE

You want your payroll journal to have a page length of 65 lines. To do this, you must enter the following:

Line number    ....+....1....+....2....+.....3....+....4....+....5..

You use this entry to define an empty page which, in this example, has a length of 65 lines.

PAGE LENGTH FOR A PAYROLL JOURNAL IN SEVERAL LANGUAGES

If a payroll journal has to be created in different languages, as might be the case in multilingual countries such as Switzerland or Belgium, the required entry for the page length must be created in all languages in which the journal is to be printed. The appropriate language indicator must be assigned to all the individual entries.

Example:

You want to print a payroll journal in German and English. In this case, please proceed as follows:

  1. Select the function Execute in the structure.
  2. In the window Determine work area: Entry displayed by the system, enter a D for German in the field Language indicator, then the corresponding country grouping, and finally the form name. Then select the function Continue.
  3. Using the function New entries create the following entries:

  1. You can exit the input area by pressing the function key Back twice.
  2. Select the function Execute in the structure again.
  3. In the window Determine work area: Entry displayed by the system, enter an E for English in the field Language indicator, then the corresponding country grouping, and finally the form name. Then select the function Continue.
  4. Using the function New entries again, make the following entries:

Line number    ....+....1....+....2....+.....3....+....4....+....5..

The example shows that all entries for the page length must exist for both German and English if the payroll journal is to be printed in both languages.
