This step IMG activity provides you information on the special features of the payroll account form. These features must be taken into account when setting up initial and final group texts in the window.

For further information, please refer to the activity "Set up initial and final group texts in window"or in the form editor documentation in the SAP Library.

Initial and final group texts are texts (such as "statutory deductions") and/or graphical elements (such as lines) that are printed at the beginning and/or end of an information group. An initial or final group text can consist of one or several lines.

You must fill in the following fields if you want to set up an initial or a final group text:

  • Text position indicator

There are two entries that can be made in this field:

    • "B"
    • The value "B" is used to indicate an initial group text.
    • "E"
    • The value "E" is used to indicate a final group text.
  • Continuation indicator

The continuation indicator is used to number the lines in an initial group text or a final group text. You must enter a "1" for initial and final group texts that consist of one line. If the initial or final group text consists of more than one line, individual lines must be numbered consecutively starting with "1".

Prerequisites

For every initial and final group text that is set up, a corresponding layout must be defined in the IMG activity "Set up line layout in window". If this layout is missing for an initial group text or final group text, blank lines are printed instead.

Example

You will find a list of the abbreviations used in this example under the heading " Abbreviations used " at the end of this activity.

You want to set up the following initial group text for a group in the window:

"Statutory deductions"------------------------------------

To do this, proceed as follows:

  • In the form editor, choose window, group, subgroup, and then group text.
  • In the dialog box "Change group texts: Group ...", enter the following in the corresponding fields:

ID    No    ....+...1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5

B    1    Statutory deductions-------------------------------

Using window name and group number, assign the initial group text to the window and group required. Indicator "B" indicates that this is an initial group text. Continuation indicator "1" indicates that the initial group text consists of just one line. You must enter the initial group text itself in the text area, which can be displayed in full here.

Abbreviations used

In the example shown, the following abbreviations are used:

ID    Text position indicator

No    Continuation indicator
