Use
The Cardiology departmental solution enables quick creation of a differentiated cardiological work environment based on supplied templates. This means, all necessary objects are supplied and some of these objects (mainly document-related) are copied into the customer namespace. The customer is then responsible for these. The majority of the objects remains in the SAP namespace, are used by the customer copies and can be updated, if necessary, when patches or notes are imported.
The i.s.h.med cardiology departmental solution consists of three pillars:
The first and most extensive comprises document templates for the most important function areas:
- Cardiac catheter
- Echocardiography
- ECG
- Cardiac MRI
and also document-enhancing comfort functions (e.g. progress per field, notification of requester).
The second pillar conmprises functionalities for the connection of devices. This is roughly restricted to server-based software. Primarily this solution has been developed and tested for three subareas:
- cardiac catheter, connection for the import of measured data from CC measuring stations (e.g. Siemens Sensis)
- echocardiography, connection (e.g. via middleware TomTec) for the import of measured data from sonography devices
- ECG, integration of ECG software suite (e.g. Schiller SEMA) for calling ECG entry and the import of measured data and references to ECG graphics if this is possible in the external software.
Connection is implemented on a open-manufacturer basis, however, sample solutions will only be provided for establisged manufacturer, with which cooperation has been negotiated.
The third pillar comprises workflow-supported functions such as components of the clinical order, which are specifically for the individual service facilities.
Requirements
The existence of configured cardiology service facilities is a prerequisite for the use of this departmental solution. It should be noted that, for the creation of movement-related procedures for these service facilities, a movement type must be used, which has the 'Surgery' indicator set. A separate movement type is created for cardiology and entered in the OU parameters for presetting when creating a visit (OE_BEW_ART, BW_ART_AMB, BW_ART_STAT). The creation of movement-related procedures is intended for all areas, even if it will never be required, e.g. for a resting ECG.
We recommend that you create a separate document category for the cardiological documents, which is entered in the customer copies. The supplied samples have the document type 'MED'.
Standard settings
This IMG guide is not intended to be an aid to complete configuration of cardiological service facilities and cannot map the complete introduction of i.s.h.med in the cardiology department or the corresponding project process. Rather this guide serves the fast configuration of functions of this departmental solution according to the supplied model, which can then be inserted into an existing environment in the SAP system. The procedure consist, on the one hand, of the import of sample documents, and, on the other hand, the transfer of individual objects into the customer namespace. In the document templates this means the activation of BC sets and the subsequent copying of the created document categories into the customer's own. For each documentation area (cardiac catheter, echo etc.) one BC set is provided. Transport requests due to the activation of this BC set should not be transferred to productive systems. All necessary objects are included in the document transport of your own document categories. In connection with documents, combo box content are supplied in a separate BC set.
