In this IMG activity, you can adjust the general status management to suit your needs. A distinction is made between the following statuses in the SAP System:
In this activity you can create a status profile for your user status.
Note: In Collateral Management, status transition for assets is allowed via business activities.
Activities
In this activity, you can:
- Define the user status and document its function in the short or long text. You can create one or more user statuses in a status profile.
- Establish the sequence in which the user statuses are run through. This is also established by the status number. If you do not assign a status number to a user status, this status can always be set. However, there can only be one user status with an active status number. When you assign a status number to a user status, you have to assign a lowest and highest status number. These limit the status number interval, from which the following user status can be selected.
- Assign at least one object category to the system profile via object categories.
- Define the initial status that is activated when the object is created.
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
- The standard system provides object categories for collateral objects that you can choose from.
- A default status profile, BSL2 (Relevant for Basel II) is provided by SAP. On release, each object in Collateral Management assumes the BSL2 status by default.
