In this IMG activity, you can adjust the general status management to suit your needs. A distinction is made between the following statuses in the SAP System:

System Status

User Status

In this activity you can create a status profile for your user status.

Note: In Collateral Management, status transition for assets is allowed via business activities.

Activities

In this activity, you can:

  1. Define the user status and document its function in the short or long text. You can create one or more user statuses in a status profile.
  2. Establish the sequence in which the user statuses are run through. This is also established by the status number. If you do not assign a status number to a user status, this status can always be set. However, there can only be one user status with an active status number. When you assign a status number to a user status, you have to assign a lowest and highest status number. These limit the status number interval, from which the following user status can be selected.
  3. Assign at least one object category to the system profile via object categories.
  4. Define the initial status that is activated when the object is created.

Example

Requirements

Standard settings

  1. The standard system provides object categories for collateral objects that you can choose from.
  2. A default status profile, BSL2 (Relevant for Basel II) is provided by SAP. On release, each object in Collateral Management assumes the BSL2 status by default.

However, there can only be one user status with an active status number. When you assign a status number to a user status, you have to assign a lowest and highest status number. These limit the status number interval, from which the following user status can be selected.
  • Assign the object category CMA - Asset to the status profile using object categories.
  • Define the initial status that is activated when the object is created. You can define the intial status by checking the flag.
