In this IMG activity, you define possible Business partner role types in the system. Each internal role type must be assigned to a corresponding role type in the external system.
Note: Business Partner categories are defined at the system level and are not customizable.
Role types can be used for the following:
Ø To identify the role type in CMS-RE for a corresponding role in an external system. This is used when data transfer to an external application takes place
Ø Define only the relevant fields for data entry for the business partner roles.
Ø Also, by defining own criteria, role types can be used to differentiate between various roles a business partner may assume in the system.
