Use
In this IMG activity, you specify a number range interval and a number range assignment type for a patent type.
The number range interval determines if the identification numbers must be internally generated, or entered by the user. In addition, the number assignment type checks if there is a mismatch between the number range interval and number assignment type.
Collateral Management allows the following number assignment types:
- Internal : Number range interval that you select must be internal . Identification numbers for patent objects are generated internally.
- External and within a specified range : Number range interval that you select must be external. Identification numbers must be entered by the user.
- External Free text/number entry : No number range interval required.
Requirements
You must have defined number range intervals in the IMG activity Define Number Ranges.
