Use

The CMS stores links to documents that are assigned to assets and collateral agreements using document types. Each document referred to in the system must be assigned to a document type. The document type serves as the link to the document details maintained in the external document management system (for example, SAP Document Management System).

In this IMG activity, you can do the following:

  • Create new document types
  • Assign the CMS document type to a document type in the external DMS.

It is not possible to link a DMS in this release.

Activities

  1. Select New Entries to define a new document type.
  2. Enter a number for the new document type.
  3. Specify a name for the document type.
  4. Specify the external document type.
  5. Save your entries.
