Use
In this IMG activity, you assign status profiles to change request types to determine the possible user statuses (and their sequence) of the change requests of a control key. The status profiles assigned in this activity only determine the status of the change object and not the collateral object itself.
Note: Status transition for a status profile is defined in the IMG Activity Define Activities. In the scenario for change requests, you define the status transition for activities of the category Release in the IMG activity Define Status Transition on Release of Change Request.
Note: Assignment of status profiles to change request types must be maintained for a specific process control area. You can define the same status profile - change request type assignment for the same control key, in a different process control area. Effectively, this means that the change requests of the same type would undergo a different status transition, based on the administrative organizational unit.
Requirements
In the respective Implementation Guide (IMG) activities, you must define the status profile and change request types that you want to assign. You need to define the relevant process control area before performing this activity.
Standard settings
The standard system setting provides a standard system profile assigned to each of the change request types.
