In this IMG activity, you define collateral agreement types that you require for collateral maintenance purposes. In Collateral Management (CM), you must assign each collateral agreement to a collateral agreement type. Each collateral agreement, therefore, inherits certain basic characteristics of a collateral agreement type.
The assignment to collateral agreement categories is used to determine the internal behavior of collateral agreements. Additionally, you can maintain the following characteristics for collateral agreements at the collateral agreement type level:
- Organizational role
- Indicator to specify a global collateral agreement type
- Indicator to specify if a collateral agreement allows multiple assets
- Business partner function sets and document type sets
- Special arrangement sets
- Correspondence role
- Correspondence group
Example
Some possible agreement types are:
- Transfer of goods
- Mortgage
- Ship pledge
- Heritable building rights
Requirements
