In this IMG activity, you define number ranges intervals for agreement types to ensure a unique semantic identifier for a collateral agreement. You can create more than one number range interval for an agreement type. However, at any time, each agreement type can be assigned to only one number range. You can assign these number ranges to agreement types in the relevant Implementation Guide (IMG) activity. Number ranges for an agreement type are valid throughout a client.

Example

Requirements

You must have defined agreement types for which you require to maintain number range details.

Standard settings

The standard system provides a number range object CMS_CAGMT for all collateral agreements that may be maintained in Collateral Management. The following values are maintained for this number range object:

  • Sub-object (Agreement type)
  • Warning limit %

Recommendation

Activities

To create a new number range, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the agreement type and choose Change Intervals. The Maintain Number Range Intervals screen appears.
    1. Number
    2. Enter the number of the number range interval, that is, enter the number of your application component.
    3. From number
    4. Enter the lower limit of the interval
    5. To number
    6. Enter the upper limit of the interval
    7. External - You can specify that number assignment is to be made externally. If yo do not set this flag, number assignment is made internally, meaning that numbers are assigned automatically in sequence by the system. The last number assigned is always displayed in the current number field.
  2. Choose Insert Interval.
  3. Save your number range.
