In this IMG activity, you define groups of allowed and mandatory business partner functions for collateral agreement types. These combinations could be used as an internal checklist to validate the business partner details of collateral agreements.
Note: To use partner function sets to validate business partner details, you must have defined plausibility checks for the combinations of allowed and mandatory partner functions. You can define plausibility checks in the Customizing activityDefine Plausibility Checks.
Example
Each collateral agreement in Collateral Management may have one or more business partners associated with it in different partner functions. For a collateral agreement type say guarantee, you may need to maintain the following partner function assignments:
- Guarantor as mandatory partner function
- Counter guarantor and co-guarantor as allowed partner functions.
Whenever you create a collateral agreement of type guarantee, you must specify a business partner in the partner function guarantor. Further, you can only specify business partners in partner functions counter guarantor and co-guarantor as additional partner functions for the collateral agreement.
