Use

In this IMG activity, you define sub-asset types that you require and specify the following:

  • Corresponding asset types for the sub-asset types.
  • Maintain characteristics such valuation frequency for the sub-asset types.
  • Maintain possible document types and business partner functions for sub-asset types.

Note: Collateral Management allows you to maintain sub-assets only for positions of a securities account. This is because the standard system allows you to define charges for positions of a securities account or the securities account itself. Normally, you can create charges for collateral objects only and not for their parts.

Requirements

If you want to define charges on the positions of a securities account, you must set the flag CHG Allw on SAS (charge allowed on sub-assets) in the Customizing of the asset type of the securities account.
