In this step, you define your exercise methods. Exercise methods determine how an employee can exercise the options in which he/she is vested, in other words buy the shares underlying the options.

In addition you specify for each exercise method whether the employee is allowed to sell the shares obtained by exercising.

Requirements

You have decided whether you need additional exercise methods.

Standard settings

The following exercise methods are defined in the standard:

  • CASH Cash
  • CLEX Cashless
  • SWAP Stock swap

If you need exercise methods other than the ones defined in the standard, you can create them.

Recommendation

Activities

  • If you need additional exercise methods, create them.
  • For each exercise method, specify whether the employee is allowed to sell the shares obtained by exercising.
