In this step, you determine which word processing system you want to use to process applicant correspondence.

Activities

Determine which system you want to use. The following word processing systems are available:

  • SAPscript
  • Microsoft Word
    If you are using Microsoft Word as the word processing system in Recruitment, you should take note of the following points:
    • You must have a SAPGUI of version 4.5A or newer.
    • Only version 8 of Microsoft Word (WORD97) is currently supported.
    • A 32-bit operating system (i.e. Microsoft Windows95 or Windows NT) must be installed on the presentation system.
    • The environment variable Path_to_codepage must be maintained in the operating system's presentation server (that happens automatically when the system is installed).
