This step enables you to determine the name format for the formatted name (PTXT1-ENAME) text variable. You can determine the name format within applicant correspondence. Format 20 is available for this function.
Example
The form of address in a letter must include the last name and first name.
Standard settings
The formatted name (PTXT1-ENAME) variable uses the contents of the following fields of infotype 0002 Personal Data:
- Form of address
- Title
- Other title
- Name prefix
- Last name
Recommendation
If names are formatted differently in your country, change the settings in the standard system.
Activities
Maintain format 20 for your country grouping. If the entries for your country grouping are missing, copy the entries for country grouping "01".
Note
The name format in the Recruitment component is generally set up the same way as in Personnel Administration. For information on how to do this, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Administration and choose Personal Data --> Name Format --> Define Name Format.
