In this IMG activity, you activate PRA for a specific client.
The indicator PRA active must be selected so that all of the PRA functionality can be used in a client. Some PRA transactions retrieve client-dependent attributes such as hierarchies and number of processes when the PRA active indicator is selected.
Requirements
Standard hierarchies must be created before being placed on this screen. Standard hierarchies cannot be a sub-node of any other hierarchy for the entity. To create standard hierarchies, use the following transactions:
- Measurement Point -
Production and Revenue Accounting -> Production -> Measurement Point -> Measurement Point Hierarchy -> Create - Well Completion -
Production and Revenue Accounting -> Production -> Well Completion -> Well Completion Hierarchy -> Create - Delivery Network -
Production and Revenue Accounting -> Production -> Delivery Network -> Delivery Network Hierarchy -> Create
Recommendation
Standard hierarchies should contain as much detail as possible to reflect the structure of a company, because these structures are intended for reporting and some transaction processing. If the standard hierarchy provides as much detail as possible, then its use will be flexible.
Activities
1. Select PRA active so that all of the PRA functionality can be used in the client.
2. If required, enter the hierarchies for measurement point, delivery network, and/or well completion.
3. If you want to use the interface to SAP Plant Maintenance, select PM Int. Active.
4. If PRA functionality is used, and/or if you need to create a Business Associate record or make changes to a Business Associate record, set the Hier active indicator.
Note: When the Hier active indicator is selected, and whenever a delivery network, measurement point, or well completion is changed, the system runs a background job that builds a cross-reference table containing the relationships between a hierarchy node and all the IDs below the node.
Note: In order to create a Business Associate record or make changes to one, the Hier active indicator must be set.
5. Use the Lease fuel config. field to specify a method for generating journal entries.
6. Activate the checkbox use gas AGRI for NGL to apply AGRI data from a gas DOI to the NGL DOI tied to the same well or measurement point (if the DOIs are different).
7. Use the VCR create mode field to specify the error handling when creating new VCRs that have related keys to existing unapproved VCRs previously posted through the revenue system.
